Common principles
- The employee complies with the laws, regulations and organisational standards of the company, respects moral principles and other principles, observes the basic rules of interpersonal relations and decent behaviour, the principles of collegiality and cooperation.
- The employee acts with honesty and integrity, does not exert inappropriate or undue pressure in relation to other employees, makes any critical suggestions in a factually based manner.
- The employee defends freedom of speech and critical thinking, and the free exchange of opinions and information. He/she offers criticism and alternative opinion in a fair manner.
- The employee does not use the employer’s premises for the exercise of the interests of political parties and movements (an exception is the trade union operating at the Institute).
- The employee is proud of the Military Research Institute and does not commit anything that could damage its reputation by his/her actions. He/she is aware that his/her actions represent the Military Research Institute externally.
- The employee takes care of the Institute’s property and uses it properly. He/she shall not misuse the Institute’s property for private interests or for personal or third-party benefit.
- The employee rejects discrimination on the basis of race, ideology, religion, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation or physical disability.
- The employee devotes himself/herself fully to his/her assigned duties and scientific activities or studies.
Principles in scientific and creative activities
- The employee is open to teamwork and professional discussions. Communicates in a factual and open manner with correct reasoning, without demeaning others or disparaging their opinions and actions.
- The employee does not disparage the scientific process in the debate and respects other scientific opinion.
- The employee treats his/her colleagues with appropriate criticality, which he/she also applies in no small measure to all his/her own scientific and creative work.
- In employee’s scientific work, he/she reflects the latest developments in his/her field, is responsible for the adequacy, accuracy and objectivity of the methods used, and takes care not to distort them.
- The employee deepens his/her professional knowledge and skills.
- The employee observes the principles of intellectual property protection in his/her own work and in dealing with the work of others, does not appropriate the results of the work of others.
- When leading a research team, the employee ensures fairness and openness in mutual communication, prevents performance demands and professional competitiveness from leading to dishonesty.
- The employee draws appropriate consequences from any unethical behaviour of colleagues.
